BoxBolt cavity fixings from Solid Dynamics join hollow sections without any welding
Feb 2012
As the main distributor for Beamclamp in Australia, Solid Dynamics promotes and stocks BoxBolt cavity fixings, which are expansion anchors that can be used to make connections to structural sections when access is restricted to one side.

BoxBolt cavity fixings are suitable for use with rectangular, square and circular sections, and are ideal for use on hollow steel work.Shoulders on BoxBolt fixings are hexagonal, allowing them to be held in position with an open ended wrench while a torque wrench is used to tighten the core bolt.As the core bolt is tightened the threaded wedge is drawn up inside the body, the fins expand, and a secure connection is made.

BoxBolt cavity fixings are hot dip galvanised for corrosion protection, and are available in a zinc plate finish or stainless steel.

To reduce installation time, a one piece accessory called a BoxSok can be used to attach BoxBolt cavity fixings to most air and power tools.BoxBolt is available to purchase in Australia from Solid Dynamics and its reseller.

Weightanka portable deadweight anchors available from Solid Dynamics
Jan 2012

Available from Solid Dynamics , Weightanka is part of a range of height safety products approved and tested by the relevant bodies for compliance with required standards.
A Weightanka portable deadweight anchor is ideal for applications where installation of collective protection or permanent anchor devices is not possible.

This is a basic height safety system weighting 250Kg in total, with no single item weighing more than 25Kg. This makes it a practical and convenient option where permanent anchors cannot be installed.

Weightanka can be used on roofs of up to 5 degrees pitch where the absence of guardrails or permanent anchor devices would otherwise preclude safe means of access.
The Weightanka portable deadweight roof anchor is a Class ‘E’ anchor device that is approved for use on all roof surfaces when wet and also for use downhill on metal clad roofs (subject to the addition of two extra weights). Roof surfaces include:

Single ply membrane asphalt
Steel cladding concrete
Stone chippings (brushed) mineral felt
The height safety equipment uses a central pedestal which raises the height at which the arrest force is applied, reducing the distance the anchor device moves during a fall arrest event.
This roof anchor will not penetrate the roof surface and the base layer weights are fully encased in rubber moulding. Additionally, there is no need for costly inertia reels.

Weightanka can be used by two workers simultaneously, providing they cannot get to less than 500mm from the edge.

This height safety device is simple and quick to assemble with few loose components

Kee Dome skylight safety structures - prevent accidents
Feb 2011

Solid Dynamics offers Kee Dome which is a modular system designed specifically to prevent falls through skylights.

Sturdy recycled PVC bases lock the posts into position around the corners of a skylight and Kee Klamp fittings and tube are used to construct the frame.

Kee Dome skylight safety structures are compliant with Australian Standards and are completely free-standing and will not damage to the roof membrane.

This reliable skylight safety solution will help to minimise the risk of falling through glazed skylight areas or open hatches. The modular system uses standard components and can be rapidly assembled around a designated area. They are suitable for square and rectangle skylights, rooflights and domelights.

Kee Dome skylight safety structures are designed as a permanent solution, but can be easily dismantled, moved and re-erected elsewhere
